What is the Saint Joseph Academy experience?
It is difficult to capture the Academy experience in just a few words. We invite you to explore what makes the students’ experience so extraordinary on our expansive and scenic college-like campus.
The Academy has college-based block scheduling, giving students four 75-minute classes each day and Activity Blocks. The class curriculum is completed within one semester, with the exception of Advanced Placement® (AP®) courses.
Benefits of a college block class schedule
- Longer length classes allow more time for interaction with teachers and other students, to collaborate on group projects and complete labs
- Eases the transition from high school to college scheduling
- In the middle of each day there are three 25-minute Activity Blocks that can be used for lunch, club meetings, exercising, tutoring, homework, reflection or socializing with friends
