Introducing New Vice President of Mission Dr. Jessica Wrobleski

Please join us in welcoming our new Vice President of Mission, Dr. Jessica Wrobleski, to the Saint Joseph Academy community.
Originally from Morgantown, WV, Dr. Wrobleski earned her Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary and her Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Yale University, where she specialized in the areas of ethics and spirituality. She taught courses in ethics and Catholic Social Thought at St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana, before joining the faculty at what was then Wheeling Jesuit University (WJU). Her first book, The Limits of Hospitality (Liturgical Press, 2012), examines questions that arise from the human need to discern boundaries while extending welcome and inclusive love to those who are different or in need. While at Wheeling Jesuit University, Dr. Wrobleski was a leader in promoting the Jesuit mission and identity of the school, including serving as WJU's representative to the National Seminar on Jesuit Higher Education from 2014-2017. She was also a recipient of the university's Outstanding Teaching Award and served in elected leadership of the faculty as well as in campus ministry and service programs.

Throughout her time in Wheeling, Dr. Wrobleski was involved in the work of the Congregation of St. Joseph as both a participant and facilitator of programs at Mount St. Joseph Retreat Center and in conversations across the Congregation nationally. She was officially recognized as an Associate in 2018. "I am excited to have the opportunity to deepen and broaden the CSJ mission and charism through work with the adult community of Saint Joseph Academy," shares Dr. Wrobleski. She welcomes comments or inquiries from alumnae and friends of the Academy as she moves into this new role and can be reached at jwrobleski@sja1890.org.
