It was a transformative experience that nurtured my interest in Civil Engineering.”

Grace is also a member of the Engineering & Design Honors Program and helped make the doghouse for the Bark in the Park fundraiser. Grace shared this reflection of the project: “I joined the dog house project because I really enjoy working with my hands and taking on new challenges. I learned a lot about interpreting blueprints and cutting lumber. I would say my favorite part was roofing the dog house. It was something I had never thought about before so it is cool that I have this experience now. Building this dog house has given me confidence in my abilities. I am really happy with how it turned out.”
