Students Begin Chick-fil-A Leader Academy

During the 2024-2025 school year, the Academy is partnering with the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy to provide curriculum opportunities that teach students leadership skills to help make a difference in their community.
Working with moderators Math Teacher Mrs. Shannon McVay and Health & Physical Education Teacher Mrs. Christina Actis, 22 students in Grades 10-12 were selected to participate in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, a national high school leadership program. Through the year-long program, students will learn leadership principles like teamwork, communication and innovation by engaging in monthly “Leader Labs.” These principles are then put into practice when the students plan and execute an Impact Project benefiting their local community.
