Honors Latin 3 Students Attend Special Mass at St. Stephen’s Church
On Tuesday, a group of Honors Latin 3 students got up early to attend a special candlelight Mass at St. Stephen's Church in Cleveland before sunrise.
This Mass was a celebration of Our Lady of Loreto-- a celebration that was added in 2019 by Pope Francis to the Roman Calendar.
Latin students from various Catholic schools in the area, along with St. Stephen's Church parishioners, joined together in worship. The students got a glimpse into the history and ancient traditions of the Catholic Church as they took part in a Mass that was conducted in the Latin language. From the a capella choir singing Latin carols to the intricately choreographed movements of the altar servers, there was so much beauty to see and take in. What a wonderful way to usher in the season of Advent together!
