Community Celebrates Ash Wednesday
The Saint Joseph Academy community came together in solemn celebration to begin the Lenten season with Mass for Ash Wednesday.
The season of Lent, which extends for 40 days from Ash Wednesday until Easter, is a time when all Christians are encouraged to recommit to our faith in the Gospel of Jesus.
Social Media Detox Fast
During Lent, several students, faculty and staff will participate in the community’s Lenten Social Media Fast where they will refrain from using any social media for 40 days. The entire community will support these individuals through notes of encouragement and offering wellness activities to connect in-person. The CORE Commons area in Fitzmaurice Hall will be a "social media free zone" to enable students to engage with crafts and games.
