Kiara Le-Quay '25
Accomplishments: Kiara was one of 34 Seniors who were commissioned as Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion.
“I wanted to become an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Communion because I wanted to be more involved in the Catholic community; it’s my way of showing my love to God,” Kiara shared. “I remember always receiving communion from the Extraordinary Ministers and feeling the love they had within them. It's always a beautiful moment.”
Kiara shared this reflection of the commissioning Mass: “The commissioning Mass was very beautiful. I had one of my favorite teachers, CORE Ministry Member Dr. Alex Lopez, who has made a big impact on my life, supporting me and representing my family. The commissioning Mass meant that I had a strong community around me, I was making my family happy, I was just filled with so much joy and love, and that I felt closer to God.”
Activities and Interests: At Saint Joseph Academy, Kiara is a leader of Diversity Council.
Favorite part about being a member of the Saint Joseph Academy community?: Kiara shared, “My favorite part about being a member of the Saint Joseph Academy community is all of the beautiful traditions. I feel that the traditions bring us all together, and we are able to share our SJA pride with each other and the community outside of the school.”
Future Career Plans: Kiara plans to become a Pediatric Nurse.
