Accomplishments: Emerson has been named a Commended Scholar through the 2024 National Merit® Scholarship Program.
“I am honored to be named a Commended Scholar,” Emerson shared. “I appreciate the acknowledgement of my hard work and dedication to my studies that has gotten me to this point. I am grateful for the opportunity to be recognized nationally for my achievements.”
About 34,000 Commended students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Scholars place among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2024 competition by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).

Activities and Interests: At Saint Joseph Academy, Emmerson is co-President of the Health Science Honors Program, an Academy Ambassador, a member of the Ancient Cultures Club leadership team, Concert Band, Knitting and Crochet Club and National Honor Society.
Future Career Plans: Emerson plans to major in Biology with the intent to study Biological Anthropology at The Ohio State University.
