Accomplishments: Olivia is one of three captains for the Dance Team. She has been a member of the team since her freshman year.
“My favorite part about being a member of the Dance Team is sharing a common interest with the people around me,” Olivia shared. “I have been a dancer for almost 11 years so it is fun to interact with new people that also like dance. I also really enjoy getting to know people so it is fun to bond with everyone during the practices.”
As a captain, Olivia gives support to her fellow dancers and helps create a space where everyone can grow and have fun. “I love learning new things, especially about dance, so it is rewarding that I get the chance to share all that I have learned with others,” Olivia shared.
Olivia is also one of the Academy’s Howley Scholars. “I am very appreciative of this honor, and I try my hardest to maintain the expectations of those who came before me,” Olivia shared. “I also like being a Howley Scholar because I get to connect with students from all grade levels.”
Activities and Interests: In addition to the Dance Team at Saint Joseph Academy, Olivia is a member of Book Club, Cooking Club and Ski and Snowboard Club. She will also be a Kairos retreat leader later this school year.
What is your favorite part about being a member of the Saint Joseph Academy community?: Olivia shared the following, "My favorite part of being a member of the Saint Joseph Academy community is all of the people you will meet. Throughout the school year, we get many opportunities to hear about people's stories through guest speakers, new teachers, new classes and classmates, sports, clubs, and more. I like having these experiences because they help us unify as a community."
Future Career Plans: Olivia plans to major in Interior Design in college.
