Accomplishments: Violet is a member of the Labre Ministry Club.
Labre Ministry offers friendship, food and resources to various unhoused community members in the Cleveland area. On the second Monday of each month, members of the Labre Ministry Club load up the Jaguar Van with resources such as food, water, clothing, blankets, flashlights, toiletries, etc., and travel to 14 different stops on the near west side of Cleveland and see many of the same faces each month.
“When I serve, I feel a deep sense of empathy for those who have come to be helped as they are brave enough to recognize their needs and are so joyful to receive the smallest necessities,” Violet shared. “Service to the dear neighbor without distinction is so important because there are so many people in need and many of us have the ability to give to those with less.”
Activities and Interests: At Saint Joseph Academy, in addition to being a member of Labre Ministry Club, Violet is involved in Calliope and is a member of the Academy Humanities Scholars Program.
What is your favorite part about being a member of the Saint Joseph Academy community?: Violet shared the following, “I like the support that each class has for each other during spirit times and the support from teachers.”
Future Career Interests: Violet is interested in Anthropology, History and Catholic Studies majors for college.
