Accomplishments: Caroline has been named a Semifinalist in the 70th annual National Merit® Scholarship Program.
Each year, the National Merit® Scholarship Program recognizes Seniors whose qualifying Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) score demonstrated exceptional academic promise. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state. With the Semifinalist honor, Caroline has the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,870 National Merit® Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring.
Caroline shared this reflection on her accomplishment: “I am really proud to have qualified as a National Merit Semifinalist along with Adelaide. My hope is that it helps me get into some great schools and opens the door to more scholarship opportunities.”
Caroline also earned the highest possible composite score, 36, on the ACT® exam. “I really worked hard to prepare for the test, so while I am of course really happy with a perfect score, I feel even better about seeing all of my hard work pay off,” Caroline shared.
Congratulations, Caroline!
