Saint Joseph Academy Welcomes Back Mary Sessions ’18

Saint Joseph Academy is thrilled to welcome back alumna Mary Sessions '18, as part of our CORE Ministry department. Mary will serve as a long-term substitute, teaching 9th and 12th grade Theology and supporting CORE Ministry.
Mary’s journey from a Jaguar to an advocate for justice reflects her deep commitment to serving the dear neighbor. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from John Carroll University, she joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Houston, Texas. There, she worked at Catholic Charities’ Guadalupe Center, providing food security and utility assistance to families and leading a No Kids Hungry project that served over 600 students monthly.

Returning to Cleveland, Mary worked as a Public Service Fellow in Mayor Justin Bibb’s office, collaborating on initiatives to amplify youth voices and drive community impact. She recently deepened her faith and personal growth by completing the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage.

As an alumna dedicated to justice, faith, and compassion, Mary exemplifies the Academy’s mission. We are excited to have her back inspiring the next generation of Jaguars.
