Women’s Leadership Symposium Offered Future Career Learning Opportunities

Last Thursday, the Academy welcomed 28 female leaders (24 alumnae) from various career paths for the 17th annual Women’s Leadership Symposium.
Professions represented include attorney, artist, business owner, sous chef, educator, engineer, finance, non-profit director, nurse and more.

The Classes of 2026 and 2027 attended two interactive breakout sessions to learn more about possible career paths. Students were able to ask questions about the speaker’s profession and how she came into her role. The Class of 2024 attended a session by Dr. Laura Bloomberg, President of Cleveland State University. Dr. Bloomberg not only shared her life experiences and reflected on her professional journey, but also encouraged our Seniors to believe in their abilities and worth and to always "show up" each and every day.

Ella Antonetti ’27 shared this reflection: “The symposium helped expand my interests career-wise. Hearing from several different people with several different backgrounds opened my eyes to new job opportunities that I haven’t thought of before. Even just listening to my friend talk about their experiences with the symposium and break out session, I was inspired to branch out and learn about career options.”
